**FOR ANYONE WHO PURCHASED TICKETS IN PERSON IN NEW YORK, OR ANYONE ON THE GUEST LIST, THESE ARE YOUR INSTRUCTIONS FOR THURSDAY NIGHT:

  • Instead of a ticket, you will receive a one night wristband.
  • To pick up your wristband, there will be a special check-in around the corner at Welcome to Harlem (2360 8th Ave, New York, NY 10027). Please try to pick your wristband up at least 30 minutes early, but we recommend arriving even earlier. Please note that seating is general admission so you’ll want to arrive early to get a good seat.
  • If you’re running extremely late, in the last 5 minutes before the show please go directly to the Apollo and we’ll do our best to accommodate you but if you’re in the 7pm show it might mean pushing you to the 10pm show so please try to arrive early to avoid complications.
  • For anyone who registered through the online system for full weekend packages or Bookend Packages, please ignore these instructions and follow the regular check-in instructions instead at http://frankie100.com/festival-a-z/check-in/

Please visit our past birthday celebrations page for details.

What are the goals of Frankie 100?
The goals of Frankie 100 are to honor the memory of Frankie Manning, further his legacy, and support and promote the dance and music he loved. The event will also mark the launch of World Lindy Hop Day to be celebrated annually on May 26th, Frankie’s birthday.

Because of the importance of this event, many key players in the world Lindy Hop community are currently working on an elaborated vision and mission for the event which will be made available soon.

Is Frankie 100 for profit? Where does the money go?
This is a not-for-profit, volunteer event supported by the Frankie Manning Foundation and any revenue in excess of expenses generated by the event will be donated to the Foundation.

Where will it be held and when?
Frankie 100 will be held in NYC, NY from 22 May – 26 May 2014 . Please check the Venues page for more information.

What will the program include?(top)
The program will include dances, workshops, performances, competition, bands, lectures/talks/forums, and other special activities. We are also planning to launch World Lindy Hop Day, to be celebrated annually on 26 May. Please visit the the Festival A-Z drop down menus for all of the updates.

I’m a reporter, is a press kit available?
Please visit our Press & Media page.

Who is the Frankie 100 Team?
The central Frankie 100 organizational committee is comprised of Elliott Donnelley, Mandi Gould and Sing Lim who are spearheading the project. The event is supported by the Frankie Manning Foundation, and if any profit is turned from the event the proceeds will be donated back to the Frankie Manning Foundation. A huge number of people have stepped on board to help make up our “Dream Team” and you can see the latest team updates on our Frankie 100 Cast page.

How can I help?
There are many ways you can help. This is truly going to be a global Lindy Hop community project!

  • Tell your friends about this event.
  • Share the Facebook event.
  • Tell your students about Frankie Manning.
  • Keep the date free and join us!
  • For more information about getting involved, please visit our Volunteer page

I’m new to Lindy Hop, can I still attend parts of this event?
Check out our special Beginner programs. http://frankie100.com/events-open-to-the-public/beginner-workshops-adults-seniors/

Can I bring my kids to the event?
We encourage you to share Frankie 100 with your entire family; however, only certain events will be open to children under 18. Unfortunately, children under 18 will not be permitted to attend most evening events for safety reasons. The Show and all daytime activities are child friendly. We also have special youth programs which you can read more about here. **Mature teens aged 13 to 17 may be admitted with a full purchased ticket with written parental consent.

I’m not that young anymore. Can I attend some/all the workshops or Lindy Hop is too energetic for me?
Lindy Hop is ageless and your age should not discourage you from getting involved in Lindy Hop. For new dancers, we will be announcing Beginner classes soon. For Lindy Hoppers who just haven’t been dancing in a while, there will be parts of the weekend for everyone to enjoy, no matter if you’re an active participant or a spectator.

Will parts of the event be open to the public? Can I attend parts of the event without buying a full weekend pass?
Yes. Please check out our Events Open to the Public page here and our Partial Event Packages page here.

Where can I find accommodation in New York during the event?
We will be making specific hotel and accommodation recommendations. Please visit our Accommodation page for the latest information. Because of the large numbers of Lindy Hoppers descending on New York for this event, it’s not realistic to try to arrange billeting with local dancers. If you know someone in New York, you may get in touch with them privately to book somewhere to stay.
